"The “Enhance our Environment” initiative is designed to improve and protect our environment focusing on tree planting, community gardens, waste reduction, and shedding and recycling electronics.
The Epsilon Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is asking that you assist us in reaching our goal of tracking and planting 3100 trees that will benefit the present and future generations. Your contribution to a memorial tree planted in a National Forest in memory of a loved one or to honor a special celebration will help to restore and maintain the beauty in nature's plan for decades to come. Through your contribution(s) new trees will be planted in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri, which is the birth state of the visionary and principal founder of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, Ethel Hedgeman Lyle.
